Booking, Deposit, and Cancellation Policy

Booking, Deposit, and Cancellation Policy

We aim to provide the highest quality dental care to all our patients. To help us manage our clinical schedule and ensure we can offer appointments to patients in need, we operate the following policy.

1. Private Appointments: Deposits and Payments

  • Booking Deposit: A flat deposit of £40 is required to secure all private treatment and consultation appointments.

  • Payment: This deposit will be credited toward the total cost of your treatment on the day of your visit.

2. Cancellation and Rescheduling Window (Private & NHS)

  • We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice for any cancellation or request to reschedule an appointment.

  • Notice must be given during our standard working hours. Sundays and Public Holidays are not included in this notice period.

3. Private Appointments: Late Cancellations and Missed Appointments

If you cancel or reschedule a private appointment with more than 24 hours' notice:

  • Your £40 deposit can be fully refunded.

  • Alternatively, your appointment can be moved to a new date, and your deposit will be transferred to the new booking.

If you cancel or reschedule a private appointment with less than 24 hours' notice, or if you fail to attend (FTA):

  • A flat fee of £40 will be charged.

  • Your booking deposit will be forfeited to cover this fee.

4. NHS Appointments: Missed and Late Cancellations

In line with NHS regulations, we do not charge financial penalties or fees to NHS patients for missed appointments or late cancellations. However, NHS clinical time is highly limited.

  • Loss of NHS Status: If you miss or cancel late for two or more appointments, the practice reserves the right to terminate your NHS care at this surgery.

  • Future care would then only be offered on a private basis, subject to the private booking terms above.

5. Late Arrivals

We understand that delays happen. However, if you arrive more than 10 minutes late for your scheduled appointment, we may not be able to see you. In this event, it will be treated as a missed appointment, and the relevant penalty or NHS policy rule will apply.
